Welcome to Lift & Shift Moving. By using our website or booking any of our moving services, you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Definitions

“We,” “Us,” or “Company” refers to Lift & Shift Moving.
“You” or “Customer” means any individual or entity using our website or booking our services.
“Services” refers to residential or commercial moving services offered through our site or team.

2. Use of Our Website

You agree to use https://liftandshiftmoving.com for lawful purposes only. You may not use this site to:

Send spam or malicious content
Misrepresent your identity
Upload viruses or harmful files
Violate any applicable laws or regulations

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to anyone misusing the site.

3. Service Quotes and Bookings

Quotes provided through our online form, email, or phone are estimates based on the information you provide. Final pricing may change depending on:

Actual time spent
Distance traveled
Number of items moved
Any additional services required (packing, storage, etc.)

By confirming your booking, you agree to pay for services rendered in full.

4. Cancellations & Rescheduling

We understand that plans change. Please notify us at least 48 hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule.

Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled move may be subject to a cancellation fee.
Rescheduling is allowed based on crew availability.

5. Liability & Damages

While we take great care with every move, accidents can happen.

We are not liable for pre-existing damage or improperly packed items (if packed by the customer).
Our team is covered by basic liability insurance. Additional insurance coverage may be available upon request.
We strongly recommend customers take photos of valuables and report any damages within 24 hours of the move.

6. Prohibited Items

We do not move the following items:

Hazardous materials or flammable liquids
Illegal substances or firearms
Perishable food
Pets or live animals
Cash, jewelry, or other irreplaceable valuables

If such items are included without notice, we will not be held liable for loss or damage.

7. Delays & Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delays caused by:

Extreme weather
Road closures or traffic
Mechanical breakdowns
Events beyond our control (e.g., accidents, natural disasters)

We’ll always do our best to keep you informed and complete the job safely and efficiently.

8. Payment Terms

Payment is due immediately upon completion of the move unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept major credit cards, e-transfers, and cash.

Late payments may be subject to interest or additional charges.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. The latest version will always be available on our website. Your continued use of our services means you accept any updates.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario (or relevant jurisdiction if changed). Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with these laws.
